FAQs
WHO do you support?
1
We support people navigating life outside of insular, fundamentalist Christian communities. Across our team, we have experience supporting people from a wide range of traditions across the country — including Southern Baptist and Independent Fundamentalist Baptist churches, Catholic convents, Christian Nationalist movements, Churches of Christ, International Churches of Christ, the Unification Church, the Latter-day Saints, Jehovah's Witnesses, the New Apostolic Reformation, and various non-denominational evangelical churches. As our program grows, we hope to offer specialized support groups around particular communities.
How do you define “insular” and
“fundamentalist”?
2
"Fundamentalist" refers to Christian communities that organize around a strict, literal interpretation of the Bible and treat those interpretations as non-negotiable. "Insular" describes communities that maintain strong boundaries between members and the outside world — making the choice and logistics of leaving very complicated and difficult.
Are you anti-religion?

We are a secular organization that serves all kinds of people. Our goal is not to steer anyone towards a particular faith belief or unbelief. We are pro agency and self determination. We want everyone we serve to feel empowered to make the decision that is best for them. Many people we support decide to reconstruct their belief system, some decide to leave their faith entirely, and some are in the middle of these two. No matter where you are, or where you end up, you’re welcome here.
